Giggles

Lately, I can't stop laughing. Dad and Mom like to kiss me on the belly and neck, which makes me giggle nearly every time. However, recently I have begun to giggle just listening to others laugh. This has made my parents do silly things just to see if I will respond. So far, their crazy ways makes me happy most of the time. Here are some pictures of daddy getting me to chuckle on August 21st.

Another Giants Game...

Here are some pictures from my 3rd Giants' Game Adventure. Unfortunately, they lost late in the game. I hid my pain and frustration by pretending to sleep through the ninth inning. The up side to it all was our awesome seats! Thanks, Aunt Mari!

Getting ready for the game in Aunt Mari's office. Aunt April is helping me stand (one of my favorite things to do lately).

Saying Hey to mom.

With mom and Mari.

First Food 8/4/09

Mom decided to try me on rice cereal before she went back to work. At first I thought it was interesting, and was able to swallow most of it. However, it was a little too runny and I was not consuming it fast enough for my tastes. So, after just a little while, I decided I was too hungry to bother with this spoon thing and I cried for regular milk.

Luckily, mom learned from her mistakes and the next day she laid me back a little more and made the food a little more pasty. She also learned that I can't be too hungry when we feed, because it takes a long time. I really like to help her by holding the spoon with her. Sometimes this causes more food on my face than in my mouth.

My First International Trip (Uruguay)

The last big stop on our trip this summer was Uruguay. We all liked it the best of any other spot. Montevideo was less noisy than Buenos Aires, and a little easier to navigate. The weather was a bit colder, but in the pack I was fine. Dad and Mom thought the city was a mix of Havana and Europe. Here are some pics of our time:

Of course, I decided to drop my only glove on the sidewalk when my parents weren't looking, so for the rest of the trip I had to wear socks on my hands instead...
Mom and Dad ate at a parilla, where the cook gave them every cut of meat on the menu...even the yucky parts. After the meal, we got invited to take a picture by the grill. Look closely and you can see one of the waiters trying to give me wine...

My First International Trip (Part 3)

After Buenos Aires, we took a 10 hour bus ride to Cordoba, Argentina. Mom, dad and I survived the bus, but unfortunately it rained a lot the first day we tried to see the city. We did get in a few sights before the showers came down...

Mom and dad ate at a really good Italian restaurant the first night, but the second night they went to a steak place that was truely unforgetable...not in a good way. Dad spent most of the next 24 hours very sick. This was one of the only sights he saw during that time...

Luckily, I was pretty comfortable at our hostel, because mom got sick the following night. Needless to say, Cordoba was not our favorite place.

Next, we moved on to Mendoza, Argentina. Home of the world famous Malbec wine growing region. Mom and dad reminded them a lot like Sonoma. It had a cute square and a local artisan market. We all went on a wine tour one day. While interesting, my parents think the wine from where we live is much better.

My First International Trip (Part 2)

Well, mom is trying to stay on me about getting my blog done. Unfortunately, she has been dragging me to her classroom a bunch, so she can get ready for the new school year. I promise I will get this trip blogged in its entirety soon!

Here we are hanging out in some parks in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires...

Some of the scenes in Palermo:

While hanging out in Palermo, it began to rain. Here I am with mom in a coffee shop waiting for the weather to improve.

Next, we took a day trip to San Isidro. I got to take my first train ride! The journey was only 45 minutes outside of the city, but it was so much more calm.

My First International Trip (Part 1)

I had my passport, a suitcase full of diapers, and a great attitude ready to go. Yes, my crazy parents decided to start my traveling early. They thought 4 months would be old enough to head to Argentina and Uruguay... and they were right. We had a ball! The plane ride down was really fun. There were plenty of people to meet and sensations to experience. I decided it would be best not to make any noises, so that I could best take in all that I could. Here are 2 pictures and a video before and after the flight. The first 2 we are at SFO and in the third, mom and I are waiting for our bags in Buenos Aires.

Mom and Dad thought Buenos Aires had many European influences in the architecture, people and food. We spent many many hours walking the city and exploring. I got to ride in the baby carrier the whole time, which was fun. I just leaned my head out and stared at all of the lights and faces passing by. Here are some of the sights of Buenos Aires:

Then, when I was tired, I just tucked my head in and slept. Here we are, on an ice cream break... The first night, I was very tired from all of the travel and walking around. I decided to sleep through mom and dad's first dinner. If you can believe it, I am on my mom's lap below! She is enjoying some Argentinian tenderloin and wine in peace.

The next day was beautiful and sunny. Can't forget the sun protection no matter what season it is...

During the trip, I started teething. Good thing mom went to the store and got me Sofie the Giraffe. We were at the gorgeous Recoleta Cemetery and all I could think about was chewing on poor Sofie's head!

Stay tuned for more...
