I like to eat apples (and most fruit) whole. It is fun trying to take big bites. So, if you ever offer me fruit, please don't cut it up first. It is just not as fun.

Eating an Apple
On 10/5, I asked mom if I could have an apple. She handed me one and I walked outside to sit on the step to eat it. When she followed me out, I patted the spot next to me, asking her to sit down next to me. Emma joined us. I think she was hoping I would drop the apple...

Aunt April's Birthday
Aunt April was kind enough to spend her birthday with me. The day started out with waffles topped with whipped cream and raspberries. I especially enjoyed the whipped cream.
Aunt April opened some of her gifts and cards during breakfast.
The big event of the day was going to the Oakland Zoo. Although I decided not to nap in the car on the ride down, I was pretty excited and happy to be at the zoo. We started by checking out the monkeys. I did my best monkey impression for them. I think they liked it. Then we saw Giant Tortoises and played on the frogs.
Here I am checking out the lemurs with dad. Our friends Jeff and Tara are in the background.
The giraffes were really neat. Mom had to drag me away from the rail after awhile. I'm not sure if it was because she wanted to move on, or because I was licking it.
Towards the end of the day, I did get a little tired. However, mom and dad saved the best for last...the elephants. They were amazing!

Overall, it was a great day! Aunt April had invited one of her friends who brought her 2 year old boy, Aris. We became friends pretty fast. I would point to the animals and make their noises, and he would tell me everything he knew about them. Halfway through the trip, we decided to help each other walk from animal to animal by holding hands.
At the end of the day, we all gathered around our friend Jeff's cell phone and listened to the end of the Giant's game. There were high fives all around when we heard they won and they would be headed to the playoffs.

Cowboy birthday party
Last Saturday, I was invited to my first 2 year old birthday party. Tommy and Rosie Clements had their bash out at the Oakmont Saddle Club. Mom informed me, as we got into the car to go, that there would be horses to ride. I was so excited that I neighed from Santa Rosa to Oakmont. There were a few times I saw horses on the side of the road and I insisted to mom that we had passed the party, but in the end she knew where we were headed. Right as we pulled up, I saw the ponies. They were amazing! I wanted to watch them and follow them every second. However, when mom asked me to pet one, I said "No way" and moved her hand out to pet the pony for me. When it came my turn to ride, I resisted with all my might. Mom did not want to force me, so we settled on watching others ride. I didn't feel as bad when I heard the birthday boy and girl didn't ride either. Below, Rosie and I are riding horses we feel more comfortable on...
I had dressed up for riding horses, but found my real love was driving this car. Every time mom tried to open the door to get me out, I would slam the door shut and keep driving.

Since it was a hot day, the twin's parents had set up kiddie pools for us to cool off in. There were several "older" girls (2-3 year olds) in the pool splashing around, which intimidated me a bit, so I settled for playing on the edge, drinking the pool water that squirted out. When things calmed down, I got in and played a bit. Mom found out that my trunks were slightly big, as I showed off some awesome plumbers crack towards the end.
At the end of the party, we got to eat and play on the lawn. Some of the adults were quite impressed that I self-regulate for choking. A few times, I put pieces of food into my mouth that were too big and after a few chomps I took them out and chose something a little smaller. Mom is sure I have inherited dad's cautious side.

1st Camping Trip
The day started with time at the Farmer's Market in Point Reyes Station. Papa and I listened to music and I danced up a storm.
They had a children's section with our own market to play with. I thought it was lots of fun, mom kept taking the fake fruit out of my mouth and saying "yucky," which I thought was hillarious.

Apparently, Papa, my aunties and mom took me for a hike, but I can't remember much of it...

My first trip to the beach and was asleep! After the crew headed back away from the water, I decided to finally wake up. They figured, we were so close still, that they should head back so I could be conscious during the beach experience. It was unreal! After watching the waves crash, I turned to mom and asked her for "mo" (more). To my delight, the waves did indeed crash again...amazing.
At the campsite in Olema:
My favorite part of camping was hanging out in the tent. What a cool playhouse!
