Easter

Days before Easter, I received my first Easter basket from our neighbors Brad and Roger. It was chickee themed, because I love our backyard chickens.
On Easter, our first stop was Grandma and Grandpa Miller's house. I started the day in a great mood...
I had a moment when I wasn't sure I was ready for the day...

But, I quickly rebounded to be the ham I like to be...
Next stop was Middletown, where I hung out with mommy's family. Here I am with Aunt April. She had just given me some new monster shoes and is showing me what kind of noises a monster might make...
Here was the dessert April made for everyone, Peep Sushi...
Mommy made Easter themed sugar cookies (the alien duck in the corner is for April)...
After a little while, Keller joined us. I showed him my walker skills and he sat with mommy...
Here is the balloon April got for me. It was bigger than I was!

Cruisin'

I love walking down the street. Below, I am playing with mom. She doesn't want me to take off my hat, but I try to anyway. It is a funny game.

Holy Mole!

Enjoying one of my favorite meals: rice, beans, cheese, sour cream, and mole sauce.

First Field Trip

On March 24th, dad and I visited mom and her class on a field trip to the Ag Days at the Sonoma County Fair Grounds. Mom rode on the bus with her students, but dad and I walked over from our house. There were so many kids there! It was amazing. Mom met up with us and we roamed around looking at all of the animals and displays. Sometimes we ran into her students and they were excited to meet me. Apparently, mom often shows them my pictures at school. They all call me "Baby Tanyon."

Altough I didn't get to ride in a school bus, I think you could say that this was officially my first field trip.

Brushing my hair

After my bath at night, mommy will often brush my hair while we are settling down to read. Earlier in the month, I was watching her begin to brush my hair, when I though, "Hey, I think I can do that myself!" So, I grabbed the brush from her hand and got right to it. Sometimes I had the brush turned the wrong way, or I brushed my face instead of my hair, but it was pretty good for a first-timer!

1st Birthday Party

I am one now! We had my birthday party on March 22nd, at Doyle Park. I actually missed the first part of my birthday party, because I was napping. When I got there, it took me a little while to warm-up. There were a lot of people and I was still sleepy. Eventually, I felt myself again, and I took it upon myself to entertain my guests. Thank you to everyone for coming out to celebrate!

Here I am laughing at a good joke:
OOOHHH, a candle just for me...
Yummy cupcake. I actually tried to put the whole thing in my mouth at once...
Giving Aunt April a kiss with cake hanging from my nose:

I had just given mommy a cake filled kiss. She thought it was funny and I was pretty amused myself: Hanging out with mommy near my presents:

Aunt April teaching me about her iphone. I didn't have the heart to tell her that by the time I have my first phone, the technology will be way cooler than that...

Birthday Presents

The entire week of my birthday, mom and dad let me open presents as I received them. On Saturday, March 20th, mom and I visited Grandma Joan at her new house. It had a gorgeous view of the surrounding hills and Santa Rosa in the distance. Aunt Mari was also there visiting. While we were there, I roamed through the house, and I used my walker out on the deck. Grandma's neighbors were outside gardening and driving the tractor, so I gave them lots of waves. We ate lunch together and I got to open my birthday gifts from Joan and Mari. It was a very nice day!
